After yesterday good session yesterday got up & checked wind on Wendy 2-8knts wnw & sunny, looking good for a afternoon Sesh.Checked again at 12pm-now 14-19knts,2pm 17-21knts Loverly...
1st on beach quickly rigged 5.0,John pulled up decided on 4.7 then another guy from Frome pulled up & started riggin 4.5m.
Quickly hit the water(after 15 min walk/jog out) & headed straight out to the end of the pier, very well powered up & not a gust or hole in sight just solid wind- probably 23-25knts.
The waves were nice,i tried to gauge them agianst the sail & some were a good 1ft higher than the boom clamp which aint bad, more big air again today but more controllable than yesterday & oh so nice gybes on wave faces, almost effortless sometimes.
Popped afew off the lips on the starboard tack which just propell you up,& jumping clean over the white water & landing on clean wave again, now grinning from ear to ear.
Once it started getting bumpy & the waves dying down at the pier headed up to Uphill again,it was nice & smooth up here with good 2/2.5ft wave faces, john made a comment bout loops so 1st wave i thought right here go's,launched of the wave but it didnt go as planned with me flying round the wrong side of the kit,but now i was in the mood!
only problem was a band of cloud had come in,covered up the sun & the wind instantly dropped 10knts,bugger...
Got back to van & contemplated sticking up the 5.7 but just couldnt be bothered, had nearly 3hrs maxed out on 5.0 so was pretty stoked. looks like it might be more of the same tomorrow but work beckons- Bo##ocks.
